The lovely beach town of Rincon de Guayabitos in Bahia Jaltemba Bay is a small resort town 25 minutes north of Sayulita and one of the most enjoyable beaches in the Riviera Nayarit. Ideal for a family vacation, Playa Guayabitos rests along a beautiful bay with calm, shallow water that’s ideal for swimming, boogie boarding, and kayaking. This wide, 1.5-mile (2.5-kilometer) gold beach with soft sand borders the main road and is accessible at the end each side street and is perfect for beach activities, such as volleyball, soccer, throwing Frisbees, and building sandcastles. The rock island, El Islote, in the bay offers boat tours from the beach for snorkeling along the island. During Humpback Whale season – December through March – affordable whale watching tours are also available.
