Playa Frideras & Friderita
Heading towards the south end of Playa Los Ayala in Los Ayala on Bahia Jaltemba Bay where the shore gets rocky are two secluded beaches called Playa Frideras & Friderita (also called Playa del Beso, which means “beach of the kiss”). From the main beach, it’s just a 10-minute walk up a steep hill on a short jungle trail – or a short boat ride – which leads to these beautiful beaches for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling. Although Playa Frideras has a rockier shoreline, during high tide when the ocean is calm, it offers decent snorkeling conditions near the rocks in the ocean. The beaches are rarely populated and make for a peaceful afternoon where visitors can indulge in fresh seafood at the beach restaurant on Playa Frideras.
